Tronox Announces Increases in Titanium Dioxide Prices in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Middle East/Africa (6 Mar 2008)

Oklahoma City, March 6, 2008 – Tronox Incorporated (NYSE: TRX, TRX.B), on behalf of its subsidiary companies, today announced price increases for all TRONOX® titanium dioxide (TiO2) grades sold in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa. The following price increases will be effective April 1, 2008, or as contracts allow:

• 100 euros per tonne in Europe

• US$120 per tonne in the Asia-Pacific region, with the exception of Japan

• 33 Yen per kilogram in Japan

• US$150 per tonne in the Middle East and Africa

Other increases may be announced locally within each region.

Tronox has and will continue to focus on increasing the efficiency and productivity of its facilities; however, those efforts in isolation cannot be expected to offset the significant increases in freight, energy and other input costs that the TiO2 industry has absorbed over the last two years. TiO2 is a critical raw material for customers and this increase, and those that are currently being implemented globally, are required to ensure that the industry can profitably reinvest in the business to meet the future needs of our global customers.
